We are a podiatry group located in Hampton Roads, Virginia looking for a Podiatrist to join our team at 1Foot 2Foot. We currently have four locations across the Hampton Roads metro area. Our group has nine podiatrists in Virginia who listen and respond to patients, treating each one as a unique individual deserving of first-rate, personalized care. The podiatrists prevent, identify, and treat all aspects of foot pathologies with outstanding success to allow our patients to lead active and healthy lifestyles. This is a well-rounded podiatry office that utilizes surgical and non-surgical treatment options for patients of all ages. Established in 2006, 1Foot 2Foot recently partnered with Balance Health, the nation’s premier comprehensive lower-extremity focused Physician Practice. Under the direction and assistance of multiple established Podiatrists who believe in teamwork, the Podiatrist would be expected to perform the following:

  • Examine patient’s legs and feet to diagnose diseases
  • Treat bone, muscle, and joint disorders affecting the feet and ankles
  • Perform wound care management
  • Diagnose diseases and deformities of the foot and ankle using medical histories, physical examinations, x-rays, and laboratory test results
  • Prescribe medications, corrective devices, physical therapy, or surgery
  • Advise patients about treatments and foot and ankle care techniques necessary for prevention of future problems
  • Provide education/consultation to patients, family, and health care team
  • Provide health promotion and preventive medicine
  • Maintain appropriate medical records on assigned patients

Requirements

  • Knowledge of legal and ethical standards for the delivery of medical care
  • Knowledge of the information and techniques needed to diagnose and treat injuries, diseases, and deformities of the feet
  • Ability to identify complex problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills that allow effective working relationships with a diverse patient, colleague, and vendor population
  • Be proficient with computers, and have experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, EMR database

Education And Experience

  • Current License as a Podiatrist in the State of Virginia
  • Doctoral degree in Podiatric Medicine from an Accredited School of Podiatry
  • Completion of an accredited podiatric residency program
  • New grads are encouraged to apply

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit and stand for up to several hours at a time.
  • Ability to see and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies.
  • Must be able to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues.
  • Ability to use hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy. This includes frequent computer use and typing for documenting patient care, and accessing needed information.
  • Ability lift up to 25 pounds.

Salary Description

$150,000-$175,000 base plus % of collections
