This role sits at the heart of product innovation within the business. You'll be responsible for turning ideas into well-designed, manufacturable products that are practical, cost-effective, and easy to install.
Working closely with internal teams and external suppliers, you'll be involved throughout the full product lifecycle, from early-stage concepts through to production and ongoing improvements.
What You'll Be Doing
- Translate ideas and requirements into well thought-out product designs
- Build 3D models and technical drawings to support manufacturing
- Refine and improve designs based on testing, feedback, and real-world use
- Ensure products are efficient to produce, assemble, and install
- Liaise with suppliers to support development and production outcomes
- Play a role in both new product initiatives and enhancements to existing ranges
- Background in Industrial Design, Product Design, or similar
- Experience working in building products or construction space is preferred
- 3 + years' experience working on physical products that are manufactured at scale
- Confident using CAD software (SolidWorks or similar)
- Understanding of common manufacturing methods (e.g. extrusion, moulding, fabrication)
- A practical mindset, strong attention to detail with the ability to take ownership of projects
