Role Overview:

We are hiring for one of our clients for a Cement Technician position within a cement manufacturing facility. This role supports plant operations through equipment maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, and safe operational practices while maintaining compliance with environmental and safety standards.

Responsibilities:

• Promote and follow all workplace safety procedures, including risk assessments, authorized work practices, and proper use of personal protective equipment.
• Demonstrate company values by supporting teamwork, continuous learning, and knowledge sharing.
• Conduct routine inspections and complete operational checklists throughout the facility.
• Perform industrial maintenance activities, including repairs, installations, replacements, rigging, welding, cutting, lubrication, alignments, and basic low-voltage electrical repairs.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and support equipment optimization during operations and mechanical breakdowns.
• Perform housekeeping activities and operate light and medium-sized mobile equipment when authorized.
• Maintain accurate documentation and organize work activities effectively.
• Participate in team meetings and operational initiatives.
• Support additional duties as assigned.
• Promote and maintain health, safety, and environmental standards in all work activities.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent qualification is required.
• At least one year of experience in a heavy manufacturing environment is required.
• Ability to work outdoors, at elevated locations, in warm temperatures, around water, in dusty environments, and in confined spaces while following all safety requirements.
• Ability to work varying shifts as operationally required and in accordance with applicable labor laws.
• Strong mechanical aptitude is preferred.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-based environment.
• Prior experience in mechanical or industrial maintenance is preferred.
• Ability to follow all safety procedures and use required personal protective equipment.
