Plays an active role in administering lacrosse instruction and practical coaching in game and practice settings part-time.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a youth coach and control all aspects of instruction and game management.
  • Set up field equipment such as goals, scoreboard, etc., and ensure the field is safely prepared for the planned activity.
  • Strong positional and team instruction with an emphasis on positive coaching style.
  • Participate in post-practice evaluations.
  • An average of 6 hours per week.
  • A flexible but consistent working schedule will be implemented to ensure consistency.
  • Communicate with players and parents with any information regarding league, camps, and programs.
  • Help plan, organize, and execute lacrosse events.
  • Organize team practices with practice plans, drills, etc.
  • Performs moderate maintenance duties as needed or assigned.
  • Officiates games when needed.
  • Must be at least 16 years of age.
  • Must be CPR/FIRST AID/AED Certified within 90 days of hire.
  • Previous coaching experience is not required but preferred.
  • Able to work a flexible schedule, such as evenings and weekends.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, write, organize, plan, and use a computer.
  • Ability to maintain effective working relationships with coaches, staff, and the public.
  • Ability to handle emergencies using good judgment.
  • Must feel comfortable working with boys and girls grades 3rd-8th.

Previous coaching experience preferred.Noise levels range from moderate to loud, often due to active children, group interactions, or busy transportation settings.

  • Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, or sit on the floor as needed during activities or tasks.
