Director of Manufacturing (m/w/d) – Industrial Laser Systems and Components
Your responsibilities:
- Lead and manage all manufacturing operations across multiple specialized departments
- Drive manufacturing process improvements to enhance quality, throughput, and operational efficiency
- Develop and implement robust planning and scheduling methodologies to optimize production flow and resource utilization
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track performance, identify gaps, and drive accountability
- Champion lean manufacturing principles to eliminate waste and improve value delivery across the organization
- Lead cost reduction initiatives while maintaining product quality and delivery standards
- Collaborate with Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, and R&D to ensure seamless product development and industrialization
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards
- Build and mentor high-performing teams and foster a culture of continuous improvement
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Technology, or related field
- Minimum 10 years of leadership experience in high-tech manufacturing, preferably in optics, photonics, or laser systems
- Proven track record in managing large-scale, vertically integrated operations
- Expertise in lean manufacturing, production planning, KPI systems, and cost optimization
- Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills
- Fluent in German and English
