Internal Job Title: SEND Learning Coach


Strategic Direction and Development

Provide a supportive service to all pupils and their families in school whose difficulties are providing significant barriers to learning.

Work directly with identified individual or groups of pupils to help overcome barriers to learning, improve behaviour and raise achievement.

Monitor and evaluate pupil responses to learning activities through a range of assessment and monitoring strategies against pre-determined learning objectives.

Liaise with school staff, education welfare officers, and other agencies to identify pupils at risk of disaffection and with those agencies identify extra help to overcome barriers to learning.


You will have:

NVQ Level 2 Teaching Assistant or equivalent.

Experience of working with children in a school setting.

Experience of working knowledge of the National Curriculum.

The ability to work one-to-one, in small groups and with whole classes.

The ability to contribute effectively to teachers’ planning and preparation of lessons.
