This warm, busy Greenwich Village family is welcoming their very first nanny and is excited to partner with a seasoned professional. Both parents work full-time; Dad travels frequently while Mom has a flexible but demanding schedule and is looking for a proactive right-hand person.

The Schedule:

• Full-time, live-out
• Monday-Friday, 12:00 PM-8:00 PM
• 40 hours per week guaranteed
• Start Date: ASAP

The Child(ren):

• 6-year-old girl: Curious, energetic, and social.
• She thrives in school and participates in on-site extracurriculars like gymnastics and swimming until early evening.
• She loves being part of the action and is especially fascinated by animals.
• 11-year-old girl: Expressive, creative, and outgoing with a love of singing and acting.
• She is also navigating sensitivities and a growing academic workload, enjoying increased independence while still benefiting from gentle guidance and organization support.
• The girls attend the same school and have busy, moving parts to their weekdays.
• Like many sisters, they can be inseparable one moment and squabbling the next; the parents encourage independence and problem-solving with supportive oversight.

The Role:

• This is a true nanny/family assistant hybrid role-perfect for someone who enjoys both childcare and keeping a household running smoothly.
• Child-focused hours include school pickups, activity logistics, homework support, dinner routines, and evening wind-downs.
• Child-free hours allow time for organization, calendar management, grocery shopping, light meal prep, errands, personal shopping (including gifts), tidying common areas, stocking household staples, managing dishes, and seasonal organization of the girls’ belongings.
• No driving or deep cleaning is required.
• Comfort navigating NYC and swimming ability are strong pluses.

You:

• You’re upbeat, organized, emotionally intelligent, and highly self-directed.
• You communicate fluidly, have excellent judgment, and genuinely enjoy engaging with school-aged children.
• Experience with similar ages and a “see it and solve it” mindset will set you up for success.
• CPR certification is required (can be renewed upon hire). Up-to-date vaccines are preferred but not required.

The Pay & Benefits:

• $35-$40 per hour, gross, depending on experience.
• Annual bonus and annual raise
• Weekly OMNY pass
• Paid federal holidays
