Choosing Capgemini means choosing a place where you’ll be empowered to shape your career, supported by a collaborative global community, and inspired to reimagine what’s possible. Join us in helping leading Consumer Products and Retail Services (CPRS) organizations unlock the value of technology and drive scalable, sustainable growth.

Your Role

As a Network Testing / Validation Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability, performance, and quality of network products and platforms. You will work closely with development, system, and onsite teams to validate network operating systems, switching and routing solutions, and embedded software across lab and production-like environments.

In this role, you will:

  • Collaborate with development, system, and product teams to understand network product requirements and validation objectives.
  • Design, develop, and execute test strategies for network devices including L2/L3 switches and routers.
  • Perform functional, system, regression, and reliability testing on Network Operating Systems (NOS).
  • Develop and maintain automated test frameworks using Python-based tools such as Pytest and Robot Framework.
  • Conduct serial debugging, analyze logs, and identify root causes for network and system-level issues.
  • Validate software reliability, performance, and stability across long-run and stress test scenarios.
  • Support defect tracking and test lifecycle activities using tools such as JIRA, JAMA, and PLM.

Your Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 4–8 years of progressive engineering experience in software testing for embedded or network systems.
  • Hands-on experience with Network Operating Systems such as SONiC, Junos, OpenWrt, or Cisco IOS.
  • Strong working knowledge of Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking concepts and network switches/routers.
  • Experience in Python-based test automation, including Pytest and Robot Framework.
  • Proven ability to perform serial debugging, log analysis, and root-cause investigation.
  • Experience in understanding product requirements and converting them into test cases and test scripts.
  • Background in software/system reliability evaluation, performance assessment, and reliability improvement.
  • Working knowledge of Linux/Unix system administration and exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Experience with reliability testing methodologies and software reliability metrics.
  • Familiarity with defect and requirement management tools such as JIRA, JAMA, and PLM.
  • Willingness to work from office/labs and collaborate closely with local and onsite teams.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in cross-functional environments.
