Drivers Licence: Code 8- (minimum)
Job Objectives:
The Software Engineer (Mobile .NET / MAUI) is responsible for the design,
development, enhancement, maintenance and support of ODIN Checkpoint’s mobile
applications for Android and iOS.
The role contributes directly to the stability, scalability, performance and usability of
the Checkpoint mobile platform, which operates in demanding industrial and
operational environments where offline capability, synchronization reliability and
strong backend integration are critical.
This role sits within a strong Microsoft / .NET ecosystem. ODIN Checkpoint’s web
platform is developed in Blazor / .NET and the mobile application is developed using
supporting backend infrastructure. Familiarity with Blazor or prior experience in .NET
web development will be considered a strong advantage.
The incumbent will contribute to mobile architecture, application performance,
background syncing reliability, offline-first behaviour, defect resolution, new feature
delivery and continuous technical improvement across the platform.
The role requires close collaboration with product, QA, support, web and backend
stakeholders to deliver secure, maintainable and production-ready mobile solutions
aligned to business and customer needs.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities:
Mobile Application Development
- Design, develop, enhance and maintain ODIN Checkpoint mobile application features using .NET MAUI and C#. Deliver reliable and user-friendly functionality across Android and iOS platforms.
- Contribute to sound mobile architecture, code quality, reusable component design, maintainability and technical decision-making that supports long-term product scalability and supportability.
- Develop, maintain and improve offline-first behaviour, local data storage, sync logic, background data processing, conflict handling and resilience in low-connectivity or intermittent-connectivity environments.
- Integrate the mobile application with backend APIs, authentication services, cloud-based services, file/media services, notifications and supporting infrastructure. Troubleshoot and resolve integrationrelated issues.
- Investigate and resolve bugs, crashes, performance bottlenecks, sync issues and production incidents. Assist with root cause analysis and implement sustainable improvements to overall application reliability.
- Work closely with Product Management, QA Engineers, Web Developers and Backend Developers to refine requirements, estimate work, validate solutions, support testing and improve release outcomes.
- Participate in release preparation, technical verification, issue resolution and post-release support. Contribute to engineering standards, technical documentation and continuous platform improvement.
