Mills Recruitment is partnering with a leading infrastructure, water and environmental solutions organisation to hire a Public Relations Manager based in Shah Alam, Selangor, Malaysia. This role offers the opportunity to shape corporate communications, strengthen stakeholder relationships, and enhance the public profile of a well-established Malaysian organisation.
About The Role
The Challenge
Lead the organisation's public relations, corporate communications, media engagement, and reputation management initiatives while ensuring consistent and effective communication across internal and external stakeholders.

Play a key role in driving strategic communications, managing stakeholder relationships, supporting public affairs initiatives, and contributing to the organisation's long-term brand and reputation objectives.

What You Will Do
- Develop and implement public relations and communication strategies aligned with corporate objectives
- Build and maintain relationships with media organisations, government agencies, industry stakeholders, and community groups
- Manage media engagements, press releases, corporate publications, speeches, and communication materials
- Lead crisis communication planning and support reputation management initiatives
- Coordinate corporate events, stakeholder engagement programmes, CSR activities, and community outreach initiatives
Preferred Qualifications
Who We Are Looking For
- Bachelor's Degree in Public Relations, Mass Communication, Journalism, Corporate Communication, Marketing, Political Science, or a related discipline
- Minimum 7-10 years of experience in public relations, corporate communications, media relations, or public affairs
- Proven experience developing communication strategies and managing corporate communication initiatives
- Experience within utilities, infrastructure, property development, government agencies, or public-listed companies will be an advantage
- Master's Degree or professional certification in communications or public affairs is an added advantage
Skills And Attributes
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia
- Strong stakeholder engagement, networking, and relationship management capabilities
- Experience in crisis communications and reputation management
- Strategic thinker with strong presentation and influencing skills
- High level of professionalism, integrity, and discretion
