BWO is looking for a Technical Authority – Quality Management to join BWO’s team of Technical Authorities. Technical Authorities are key to the Technical Assurance process, ensuring that inherent safety principles and good practice is applied. This is done by defining the fit-for-purpose technical requirements for BWO FPSOs, and the verification that those requirements are implemented.
Key Tasks And Responsibilities
Owner of the BWO frameworks for Quality Management of projects and asset operationsProvide expert advice to the wider BWO organisation, where requiredProvide mentoring to the Quality Management professionals within the BWO organisation.Perform monitoring, verification, and analysis of projects and operations to identify weak signals of quality related issues and to ensure continuous improvement of the Quality Management frameworkLead assessment of quality related incidents categorised at Level 3Provide guidance and support to others assessing quality related incidents categorised at Level 2Engage with relevant industry bodies to ensure that the Quality Management framework remains aligned with industry standards and the business objectives of BWOSupport the development of systems, tools, and procedures needed by projects and operations for effective Quality Management within the framework.
Qualifications
Master’s degree in Engineering or related discipline; Bachelor’s degree with significant relevant experience may be acceptableMinimum of 15 years of experience in the offshore Oil & Gas industry. In particular, Projects and Operations phases of Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) assets within an Operating Company and Contractor environments, or closely related industryPrevious experience working as Project Quality Manager is required. Previous experience working as Technical Authority / Subject Matter Expert is desirable. Comprehensive knowledge of industry rules and standards related to Quality Management such as ISO and Total Quality Management (TQM).Proficient in analyzing data, identifying trends, and making data-driven decisions to enhance quality processes.Skilled in identifying areas for improvement within existing processes and recommending changes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness, including streamlining workflows, reducing waste, and improving overall qualityCapable of identifying potential quality risks and developing strategies to mitigate them, demonstrating a proactive approach to preventing quality issuesEffective in working with project teams and asset operations to identify and resolve quality issuesAdept at collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement quality improvements and ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.The successful candidate must possess a profound understanding and extensive experience in leading roles within the discipline of Quality Management for large FPSO projects.Operational experience is advantageous, as it relates to the ability to prioritize and understand how system verification should be conducted to ensure that systems remain operational and healthy throughout their design lifetime.
