We are looking for a Component Engineer to fill a position at our Research and Development Centre located in Wigram, Christchurch.
Role/Duties:
We will NOT be reviewing any international candidates.
Applicants MUST hold a current New Zealand Work Visa (or similar) or be eligible to work in New Zealand as sponsorship is not available. Applicants may be eligible for relocation support.

We are looking for a Component Engineer to fill a position at our Research and Development Centre located in Wigram, Christchurch.
Role/Duties:
- Work on the identification and evaluation of appropriate components for use in our product designs.
- Working with suppliers, purchasing staff, and product development engineers from a part’s selection until its approval.
- Creating and maintaining parametric data to support component selection for design engineering.
- Investigating alternate component technologies and suppliers to reduce cost while improving component quality and reliability.
- Supporting change management with PCN/ECR/MCO/ECO reviews and approvals in our PLM System (Arena).
- Detail Oriented / Accurate
- Integrity – Ability to say “No” when evaluating approvals
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work in cross-functional teams
- Degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering (or equivalent)
- 5+ years’ experience outside of university in Electrical Engineering.
