2. About the Opportunity:
The Senior Payroll Analyst will lead the execution of US and Canadian payroll processes, manage complex payroll initiatives, and collaborate with multiple departments and vendors to enhance payroll operations. This role is central to transforming payroll from a transactional function into a strategic, technology-enabled partner, contributing to the organization''s overall efficiency and compliance.
3. Responsibilities:
• Execute end-to-end US and Canadian payroll cycles with accuracy, including audits, reconciliations, and reporting.
• Lead medium-to-high complexity payroll projects from scope to delivery, collaborating across departments and vendors.
• Diagnose payroll process issues, design scalable solutions, and translate requirements to People technology teams.
• Support equity-to-payroll workflows, including RSU vesting, mobility, and cross-functional reconciliations.
• Serve as a subject matter expert for payroll systems such as ADP and Workday HCM.
• Ensure compliance with SOX, internal audits, year-end filings, and statutory requirements.
• Identify and escalate workflow gaps; enhance team knowledge through documentation and mentorship.
• Contribute to the strategic vision of evolving payroll into a technology-enabled business partner.
4. Requirements:
• 4–6 years of progressive, hands-on experience managing complex, multi-state US payroll cycles independently.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
• Proficiency with modern payroll and HCM platforms (e.g., ADP, Workday HCM, UKG).
• Advanced skills in Excel or Google Sheets, including complex formulas and data reconciliation.
• Experience collaborating cross-functionally with HRIS, Equity, Accounting, Tax, Benefits, and Legal teams.
• Preferred: Canadian payroll knowledge, ADP EV6 and WFN experience, support of equity-related payroll events, business requirements writing, data/automation tool exposure, experience in high-growth public companies, and informal leadership or mentorship roles.
5. Pay Range and Compensation Package:
• Starting pay will be determined based on skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions, with localized base salary and opportunities for equity grants.
