As Supply Chain Manager, you’ll work closely with suppliers, manufacturers and international stakeholders to help build a robust procurement and supply chain function from the ground up. From sourcing New Zealand manufacturers and coordinating procurement through to supporting international logistics between New Zealand and China, you’ll be instrumental in helping bring this exciting project to life.

Job Details
- Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent Monday to Friday
- Location: Pokeno, Waikato
Working alongside both local and international teams, you’ll help establish supplier networks, develop procurement processes and coordinate the movement of products between New Zealand and China as operations continue to expand.
You’ll enjoy plenty of variety, with responsibilities spanning supplier management, procurement, international logistics and supply chain coordination. As the business grows, so too will the opportunity to influence how the supply chain function evolves.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with New Zealand suppliers, manufacturers and OEM partners.
- Manage supplier enquiries, quotations, pricing and procurement activities.
- Coordinate production schedules and monitor supplier performance to ensure products are delivered on time.
- Support the end-to-end export process, including freight coordination, shipping documentation and communication with logistics providers.
- Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth movement of goods between New Zealand and China.
- Assist with import/export documentation and regulatory requirements, working alongside relevant agencies and partners where required.
- Monitor inventory, lead times and supply chain performance, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency.
- Contribute to the ongoing development of supply chain processes as the business continues to grow.
We’re looking for someone who brings strong procurement and supply chain experience, along with the confidence to work independently and build lasting supplier relationships.
Ideally, You’ll Have
- Experience in procurement, supply chain or sourcing within a manufacturing, FMCG or food production environment.
- Experience working with New Zealand suppliers and manufacturers.
- Exposure to import/export operations and international logistics, ideally involving the China market.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach and the ability to work autonomously.
- Experience with export compliance or regulatory documentation
- Knowledge of the New Zealand-China trade environment.
- Mandarin language skills (beneficial but not essential).
