As a key member of the People & Culture team, the Talent Acquisition Consultant will play a pivotal role in defining and driving the full talent attraction lifecycle across the organisation. This will include how we attract, engage, and hire top talent for the business.
The role is not wholly focused on sourcing great candidates – in order to create an effective and efficient pipeline, you will need to be a strategic thinker, have a strong grasp of market intelligence, and understand how to develop and enhance our employer branding in the market.
Working closely with senior stakeholders to shape and execute a high-impact attraction strategy, you will help build brand presence, craft compelling talent narratives, develop and embed our EVP, and ensure we are positioned as an employer of choice in a competitive market.
Responsibilities
Attraction Strategy
- Design and implement data-driven, function-specific attraction strategies that align with workforce planning and long-term business needs.
- Use narrative and digital content strategies to engage and inspire top talent, including passive candidates.
Employer Value Proposition (EVP)
- In consultation with the wider People & Culture and Marketing teams, shape and evolve our EVP, to reflect the best of our culture, career development opportunities, and employee experience.
- Working with other stakeholders, assist with EVP activation across job ads, social media, employee stories, campaigns, and careers content, to increase awareness and interest.
Brand & Marketing Collaboration
- Collaborate with Marketing and design teams to align recruitment messaging with broader brand identity.
- Develop social and digital recruitment campaigns, and promote events or initiatives that showcase our people, our purpose and our culture.
Market Intelligence
- Working with the wider People & Culture team, maintain awareness of talent market trends, competitor hiring practices, and future workforce trends.
- Share intel and insights regularly with the team to create informed hiring strategies.
Strategic Talent Partnering
- Working with the People & Culture team, assist hiring managers across the group to provide consultation on role scoping, candidate profiles, and recruitment best practice.
- Champion structured, inclusive, and value-based hiring methods to ensure quality and alignment.
Beyond Sourcing
- Drive initiatives beyond hiring, including improvements to onboarding, talent pooling, internal mobility, and candidate experience.
- Support People & Culture programmes that touch on workforce planning, employee engagement, and DE&I.
Ethical Recruitment
- Uphold no-poaching boundaries, confidentiality, and compliance with relevant employment and privacy legislation.
- Operate with integrity and build relationships based on trust and professionalism.
Measurement Of Success
Success in this role will be measured by your ability to deliver a clear, forward-looking talent attraction strategy, that aligns with both business needs and group-wide objectives.
Key Indicators Include
- Measurable improvements in candidate quality, time-to-hire, and hiring manager satisfaction.
- Strengthening of our EVP and how it is reflected externally across job ads, social channels, and candidate interactions.
- Strategic use of market and competitor insights, to inform talent planning and positioning.
- Visible contributions to broader People and Culture programmes, cultural initiatives, and talent lifecycle improvements.
- High-quality, relevant market intelligence, shared regularly with the business.
- Strong trust and credibility built with stakeholders, including hiring leaders and the broader P&C team.
- Consistent demonstration of ethical and compliant recruitment practices.
