The Role
CAA is seeking an assistant to support an Agent in our Television – News department representing on-air news/broadcast talent.

Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to the department head, including phones, scheduling, travel, account and expenses, research in the fast-paced, high-growth broadcasting group
  • Serve as first point of contact with clients and executives, providing a white glove experience
  • Track clients, breaking news stories, industry movement, and trends
  • Assist in new client discovery, pursuit, and signing
  • Prepare pitch materials for clients and assist in sending submissions to networks
  • Aid in contract negotiations and review contracts for legal precedent
  • Keep and update detailed records of correspondence with clients and executives

Qualifications
  • 10+ months of professional experience
  • 6+ months of relevant administrative experience within the Entertainment, News, or Media Industry is a plus
  • Strong interest/following in news, politics, and media business
  • Ideal candidate is extremely organized and has the ability to think on their feet and prioritize in fast-paced office environment
  • Candidate should be resourceful and take initiative on assigned projects
  • Excellent phone demeanor
  • Strong writing skills
  • Ideal candidate is intuitive and detail-oriented
  • Familiar with or able to learn the television landscape, including talent, networks, and executives
  • Ability to design slides and put together decks
  • Enthusiastic collaborator and team player

Education
  • BA/BS from an accredited University or College preferred

  • On-Site in New York, NY United States

Compensation
The base hourly rate for this position is in the range of $20.00-22.00. This position also is eligible for benefits and discretionary bonus. Ultimately, wages may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, business sector, and geographic location, among other criteria.
