Purposes

Shift Details

  • Shift Details with Locations- Two Shifts Available
    • Monday-Friday, 5:00pm-9:00pm
      • Triad Center, (KSL Building, Ensign College and BYU-SL Center)
      • Conference Center Building
      • Church Office Building
      • Joseph Smith Memorial Building
  • Compensation: $18.00/hr + $1.00 Swing Shift Differential
  • Must be willing to work rotating weekends (every 7th Saturday); and events and holidays as scheduled
  • This is a part-time position without medical benefits.
  • Please Note: This position does not qualify for students required to work on the Ensign College Campus.**
Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES

Here’s What You’ll Do On A Standard Day Of Work:

  • Sanitize public areas, offices, and restrooms, daily or as instructed (yes this means cleaning toilets, but it’s not usually that bad)
  • Dust or polish furnishings, light fixtures, windowsills, wood paneling, etc.
  • Spot clean carpets, rugs and upholstery, restock supplies, remove leaves or snow, and dispose of trash, waste, and other materials (it’s very satisfying to put everything in order every day)
  • Attend meetings and trainings crafted to increase your knowledge and abilities
  • Operate mechanized cleaning equipment, vacuums, buffers, large scrubbers and sweepers, and extraction equipment, etc. (we’ll provide equipment training)
  • Perform emergency cleanups including floods, bodily fluids, spills, etc.
  • Report safety or security issues and needed repairs

What Will Make You Successful In This Job

  • We need hardworking individuals who can independently lift and position objects weighing as much as 50 pounds.
  • You will also need to stand, walk, kneel, squat, stoop, push, pull, twist, bend, and perform repetitive movements for extended periods of time.
  • You will complete vital tasks and handle basic issues and solve problems professionally.
  • We need people who can work alone without constant supervision but can also strengthen their teams.
  • Our work involves various cleaning solvents and chemicals, and we need employees who will align with all regulations associated with the safe handling of chemicals and can work in damp, dusty, and/or dirty areas.
  • Our employees must be able to read, comprehend, and communicate in English for video training, building security, and safety purposes, including asking clarifying questions as needed.

Any previous experience or knowledge of custodial practices is welcomed but not required.
