Kick-start your career with Abergeldie through our Cadetship Program, a paid, part-time role designed for university students. As a cadet, you’ll work alongside our project teams while completing your degree, working part-time during the semester with opportunities for full-time work during university breaks, while gaining hands-on experience and applying your studies to real projects.

Program Highlights

  • Real-World Exposure: Gain hands-on experience on exciting projects across Infrastructure, Water, Rail, and more. This program offers a unique opportunity to apply your studies in a practical setting.
  • Mentorship & Support: Our team will support your growth and development, providing guidance throughout your placement.
  • Pathway to Graduate Opportunities: Successful cadets may be invited to join our Graduate Development Program, with priority consideration given to those who complete our Cadetship Program.

We welcome students in their third or fourth year of study, with opportunities available across our Water team for those passionate about water and wastewater infrastructure. These roles are ideally suited to students studying Civil or Mechanical Engineering and are based out of our Tullamarine office.

To Be Eligible, You Must

  • Be an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or have full working rights in Australia.
  • Be keen to develop a career within the construction industry
  • Have strong communication skills and enjoy working as part of a team.
