Job Summary
The Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences Department at CU Boulder invites applications for a Visiting Researcher! Satellite sea surface temperature, salinity, sea surface height, wind, precipitation and convection (i.e., outgoing longwave radiation), together with Argo temperature and salinity profiles, will be analyzed. The period of interest is from 1993-present, when satellite and Argo data have become available.

Responsibilities
What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be
Analyze and visualize satellite and in situ observations, to identify sea level High EXtreme (HEX) events and Low EXtreme (LEX) events, as well as Compounding Height and Heat EXtreme (CHHEX) events.

This is a summer 2026 position only, from May - start of Fall semester in August.

The monthly salary for this summer position is $5,572.80.
