Customer Coordination
Customer Interface
- Act as primary customer interface developing customer focus and relationships
- Respond to all general customer enquiries
- Record and respond to customer feedback/complaints and actively follow up
- Support account management for nominated customers
- Monitor customer KPIs and seek corrective action to ensure adherence to performance targets.
- Contribute to preparing budget and long-term forecasts as required
- Prepare short-term forecasts as required
- Monitor customer forecasting and delivery performance
- Inform customer of Lines shipping requirements
- Input booking information and correct charges into relevant system
- Input and update Customer Agreements and SharePoint as appropriate
- Update booking with correct cargo details
- Inform customer of booking status
- FMC compliance as required
- Compile final booking lists/load lists
- Complete post-loading cargo tallies, investigate anomalies and circulate
- Communicating with Terminals and Operations Team
- Develop and manage cargo allocation plans in alignment with capacity management
- Identify potential space challenges and pro-actively provide solutions
- Follow up on space availability, deliveries and waitlisted cargo
- Responsible for liaison with Area Sales Teams, Port Operations and Terminal to enhance the ability to prioritize and optimize use of space allocations
- Play an active role in implementation and execution of customer prioritization and optimal cargo mix decisions
- Monitor volume levels and provide input on optimal routing and port rotation across the trade.
- Guide vessel scheduling based on customer requirements
- Ability to foresee, identify, and initiate actions to support higher earnings
- Work with CCC on other trade units to share, derive and implement best practices for CCC processes and customer-related routines.
- Act as back-up for CCC in other Trade units as required/needed
Requirements & Qualifications
- Native Chinese speaker or same level of fluency in Chinese.
- Proficient in both oral and written English.
- 2-5 years’ experience is preferred.
- Understanding of Ocean Transport dynamics
- Overall understanding of automotive industry
- Profit-minded and customer-oriented minded
- Internal coordination skills to come up with collective response to the Customer
- Ability to adapt to changing circumstances
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Pro-active and self-motivated
- Highly flexible, collaborative and adaptable – ability to foster an agile and inclusive working environment and work across teams
