QA Automation Specialist (Playwright)

You will be:

• designing, developing, and maintaining automated test suites for web applications and APIs,
• integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and supporting deployment quality gates,
• collaborating with development and product teams to ensure high software quality across all stages of delivery,
• creating and maintaining test strategies, quality metrics, and testing documentation,
• supporting shift-left QA initiatives by improving test coverage and early defect detection,
• exploring and implementing modern QA solutions, including AI-powered testing tools and automation improvements.

Your profile:

Test Automation Frameworks

• strong hands-on experience with Playwright (TypeScript) for E2E, API, and visual regression testing,
• proficiency in TypeScript / JavaScript, including async patterns, fixtures, and the Page Object Model,
• experience with multi-viewport testing,
• familiarity with visual regression tooling and baseline management,
• practical experience managing test data across staging and pre-production environments,
• understanding of environment parity issues and strategies to mitigate them.

API & Backend Testing

solid skills in API test automation (REST, JSON schema validation, contract testing concepts),

comfortable working with caching layers (e.g. Redis) and understanding how cached vs. live data affects test design,

experience testing systems with third-party / supplier integrations and sandbox limitations.

CI/CD & Pipeline Integration

experience integrating automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, CircleCI, or similar),

ability to design quality gates, parallel execution strategies, and reporting that fits a deployment pipeline,

understanding of smoke test design for post-deployment validation, including non-transactional production-safe checks.

AB Testing & Feature Flags

experience designing tests around AB experiments and feature flags, including deterministic variant control (cookies, headers, config overrides),

understanding of how to keep selectors and assertions resilient against content variance.

AI-Assisted QA

exposure to AI-powered tooling for test generation, flaky test triage, coverage analysis, or test deduplication,

ability to evaluate and integrate AI tools pragmatically into an existing automation workflow.

Nice to have:

• Experience applying GenAI in a more structured way within the SDLC, including defined workflows, prompt patterns, or tool integrations embedded into daily work.
• Interest in and familiarity with emerging AI-driven practices (e.g. agent-based workflows, automation patterns, AI-augmented development), with a willingness to explore and experiment beyond standard approaches.
