About the Team:
ZF is establishing a new state-of-the-art distribution center in Ostrov, which will become a key logistics hub within our global supply chain. This facility integrates advanced automation, digital technologies, and data-driven logistics to enhance operational efficiency.
As a Logistics Operations Manager, you will play a central role in ensuring the day-to-day operations of your warehouse shift run smoothly and efficiently. In addition to operational leadership, the position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to complex logistics projects — from designing network flows and distribution channels to co-shaping future expansions of the center, including the planning of additional warehouse space. This is a role for proactive leaders ready to influence both the present and future of ZF's logistics.
What you can look forward to as Logistics Operations Manager?
- Managing daily operations of the logistics center, ensuring smooth and efficient processes in line with project and business requirements
- Leading and developing approx. 150 employees on your shift
- Ensuring operational performance, adherence to KPIs, and continuous improvement of processes
- Creating and maintaining a safe and compliant work environment, in accordance with company policies and legal regulations
- Contributing to complex logistics projects — such as network design optimization, transportation and distribution channel setup, warehouse layout planning, and expansion initiatives
- Working in shifts
Your profile as Logistics Operations Manager:
- Proven experience in a similar logistics leadership role
- Solid understanding of end-to-end logistics processes (inbound/outbound, picking, packaging, inventory)
- Fluent English and Czech, both written and spoken
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities with a hands-on, proactive mindset
- Experience in managing logistics-related projects or operational expansions is a strong advantage
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to think strategically while managing operational details
