Founded by Sohrab and Nastaran Kavir, Kavir Films is an award-winning independent production company based in Richmond, London, dedicated to creating films that explore humanity, identity, and transformation. Our journey began with "Saman" and "Forbidden Birth", both recognised for their strong storytelling and social depth, followed by the feature documentary "Duchenne Boys", a moving tribute and powerful awareness piece about families living with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. We are now developing two major feature projects: Not In My Name — a deeply human drama reimagining the relationship between a Palestinian woman and her Israeli sister-in-law, exploring inherited conflict, reconciliation, and hope; and Roomi — a spiritual film inspired by the teachings of Rumi, exploring how love, unity, and divine wisdom can transcend cultural and religious boundaries.
