Kayan Foundation for Peace and Development

Kayan Foundation for Peace and Development is a non-profit and non-governmental civil society organisation that works to advance peace and sustainable development in Yemen, through empowering women and youth to participate in social change and make a positive difference in society. Kayan focuses on six key areas: women’s and children’s rights, peacebuilding, economic and environmental development, youth empowerment, education and healthcare, and social justice. Through these areas, the foundation seeks to find sustainable solutions to the challenges facing Yemeni society. The foundation is dedicated to creating opportunities for youth participation in decision-making and transformational initiatives.
