About Konsorsium Bioteknologi Indonesia (Indonesian Biotechnology Consortium)
KBI (Konsorsium Biokteknologi Indonesia) or Indonesian Biotechnology Consortiun is a collection of institutions that conduct development and application of science and technology in the field of biotechnology in Indonesia.
KBI was founded by PAU (inter-university center) of IPB, ITB, and UGM on September 29, 1992. KBI is a scientific organization and is not affiliated with any social and political organizations.
KBI members are institutions engaged in biotechnology, and not individuals. The founding members consist of three PAU Biotechnology, and members consist of institutions that are interested and volunteered to become members of KBI. The legal basis for KBI is Akta KBI No. 30, dated October 14, 1994.
