Kelly's Heroes

Kelly’s Heroes (formerly We Mind & Kelly Matters) was founded in 2019 following the heartbreaking loss of our beautiful daughter, sister, and friend, Kelly, who tragically died by suicide after her struggle with mental health.

Born from grief but driven by hope, Kelly’s Heroes is a legacy of love and action. Our mission is simple but powerful: to raise awareness of mental health, challenge stigma, and help prevent suicide through compassionate, community-focused support.

Mental health challenges can be invisible — and the stigma still attached to them means too many people suffer in silence. We believe everyone has a role to play in looking out for one another, and sometimes, just a kind word or listening ear can save a life.

Thanks to the incredible support we've received since day one, Kelly’s story continues to touch lives and drive change. This charity is her legacy, and through it, we are determined to make sure no one faces mental illness alone.

All donations and fundraising directly support our work — from local mental health initiatives and partnerships to the delivery of our own evidence-based training, workshops, and awareness campaigns.
