About Kendel Sherman Foundation

The mission of the Kendel Sherman Foundation is to advance health equity, foster youth development, and nurture community healing. Our foundation relies on the generosity of the community, so we never use a one-size-fits-all approach to your well-being.

Tamica Fricks started the Kendel Sherman Foundation in memory of her daughter, Kendel, who departed this earth in 2015 from Enterovirus 69.  The foundation started in 2016 with a sole emphasis on Asthma education and outreach.  Now, the organization is committed to serving the community through:

Health Education
- Offering FREE Narcan Training and Distribution
- Offering CPR Certification Classes*
- Offering AVERT (Active Violence Emergency Response Training) Classes
- Asthma Education
- AMI (Accessible Medication Initiative) Program
