The company KERN & SOHN GmbH was established in 1844 and therefore is the oldest Manufacturer of precision balances in Germany. Another KERN strengths lies in the production of precision test weights in all OIML tolerance classes (E1-M3) – important tools for checking your measuring instruments within the scope of quality assurance provisions in accordance with ISO 9001ff.

We do belong to a small number of companies in Germany in possession of an accreditationas as a DAkkS calibration laboratory for balances and weights (D-K-19408-01-00), granted by the DKD.
