Overview

About St. Augustine Lighthouse & Maritime Museum

A pivotal navigation tool and unique landmark of St. Augustine for over 150 years, the St. Augustine Light House and Maritime Museum, Inc. is a non profit Museum with a mission to discover, preserve present and keep alive the stories of the nation's oldest port as symbolized by our working St. Augustine Lighthouse.

We keep the light shining as the front porch light for our community; We save six historic structures, and we preserve over 19,000 artifacts, and archival books, records and documents. Our archaeological scientists explore hundreds of shipwrecks under the waves and we teach young people about maritime heritage and marine sciences. Our summer camp for children offers scholarships to at-risk youth through a partnership with Sertoma Club. Through interactive exhibits, guided tours and maritime research, the 501(c)(3) non-profit St. Augustine Lighthouse & Maritime Museum makes a difference in our community, and invite you to help out with your visit or membership purchase.
