About Lions Talk Science
Lions Talk Science (LTS) publishes weekly articles breaking down complex science in laymen-accessible language. Our topics are as varied as the interests of our writers, who are all graduate students at Penn State College of Medicine - we've written about the science behind sourdough; the James Webb Space Telescope; the adorable axolotl and its limb-regenerating abilities; how Queen's guitarist incorporated the concept of space travel time dilation into his lyrics; the climate crisis and its impact on endangered tree frogs; and so much more.
Our editing team, also entirely comprised of graduate students, is passionate about scientific storytelling. No matter what career a graduate student hopes to pursue post-grad, the ability to write well and communicate with creativity and clarity is critical; we hope that writing for LTS can serve as an opportunity for PSUCOM graduate students to build and strengthen these skills.
