Overview

About Lisbon Project

The Lisbon Project is a non-profit organisation that exists to build a community that integrates and empowers migrants and refugees.
At the Lisbon Project, we are building a Portugal where migrants and refugees are not just included, but empowered to thrive. Founded in 2017, we are a community-led, non-profit organization that works at the intersection of social integration, dignity, and opportunity.

From language classes and bureaucratic support, to career development, children’s programs, and community events, we offer a holistic approach to integration—always with people at the center.

Our model is built on collaboration: we mobilize over 200 volunteers weekly, partner with businesses, schools, and public entities, and use innovative tools like our own web app to streamline support and give agency to those we serve.

This is not just about services. It’s about solidarity, shared humanity, and building the future of Portugal together.
