About Lorain-Medina Rural Electric Co-op
Lorain-Medina Rural Electric Cooperative is an electric distribution cooperative serving the needs of over 13,000 members in Ashland, Huron, Lorain, Medina, and Wayne counties in northeast Ohio. We maintain about 1,500 miles of underground and overhead lines as well as 15 substations. Founded in 1935, Lorain-Medina Rural Electric has been serving the area for over 75 years.
We are a not-for-profit electric cooperative owned and controlled by the members served locally. Members voice their opinions on the operation and control of the cooperative through their elected board of trustees.
