About M.A.N. Culture
We are M.A.N. Culture, a Male Allyship Network committed to meeting men and boys where they are—engaging in honest, open conversations about masculinity and male violence.
Based in Plymouth, we formed in 2022 in response to high-profile national cases and tragic local events that highlighted Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG) as a key priority. While vital conversations centered on the experiences of women and girls, we recognised that men and boys—half the city’s population—were often missing from the discussion.
At M.A.N. Culture, we aim to create a safe space to talk about a huge culture shift in what masculinity is, with the aim of starting the conversations that we just haven’t been having.
We believe in empathetic dialogue between genders, engaging with men and boys to understand their experiences while challenging harmful influences that act as barriers to equality.
Through workshops, conferences, and a growing network, we encourage men to listen, reflect, and stand up to behaviours that make our communities less safe.
