Mapei is a worldwide company producing building materials with its 100 subsidiaries operating in 57 countries and 86 manufacturing plants in 35 different nations, more than 6,000 products including adhesives, sealants and chemicals, which are shipped every day for a total amount of 27,900 tons.
Founded in Milan in 1937, Mapei is today the world leader in the production of adhesives and chemical products for the building industry. We implemented our internationalisation strategy in the 1960’s and this has enabled us to be closer to the needs of regional markets. We have always placed a lot of emphasis on research: the Mapei Group has more than 10,500 employees worldwide.
