Our Mission and Vision:
At Mary’s Shelter, we are committed to empowering families and homeless youth through safe housing, education, and access to vital social services.
We envision a community where every young person has a safe place to call home—and where all individuals can access the tools and support they need to reach their full potential.
With a foundation built on compassion, respect, and empowerment, we work to break the cycle of homelessness. Our goal is to equip families and youth with the skills, confidence, and resilience to achieve lasting independence and thrive.
What We Do:
Outreach Maternity Programming helps expectant mothers through
- In-Person individual and group counseling
- Classes focused on life skills, parenting, interpersonal relationship skills, household maintenance and budgeting
- Assistance coordinating prenatal care, education and housing
Homeless Youth Programming supports those aged 14-21 through
- Short and long term temporary shelter with a home-like atmosphere
- Access to a laundry room, gym equipment, computer lab and kitchen
- Weekly classes intended to build social, vocational or life skills
- Referrals to outside services
- Case management services to create long-term goal plans
Our Family Wellness Programming supports low-income caregivers through
- Scheduled, monthly in-person check-ins
- Referrals to outside resources
- Access to diapers, wipes, formula, pantry and household items
