About Mexicali EDC
Mexicali EDC is a non-profit organization funded by Mexicali’s city government and by a membership with only the best local private companies in their sector, these being Industrial Parks, Law and Accounting Firms, Mexican and American Custom Brokers, Shelter, and other services needed in a soft landing process.
Established in 1977, we are pioneers for Economic Development and Foreign Direct Investment attraction in Mexico. Since then and thanks to the pro-business community integrated by government, private sector and education, we have been successfully promoting Mexicali as a trade and investment destination for manufacturing companies.
Our main objectives are:
• ATTRACT new investment that could give a positive effect on the economic in our city.
• Help the established investments GROW by assisting them and keep them informed about state and federal incentives for expansion projects.
• RETAIN established investment in the city by being aware of their needs and looking for innovating ways to fulfill them.
We assist companies interested in establishing in Mexico by:
• Providing overall information regarding doing business in Mexico.
• Site selection focused on the companies needs.
• Organizing business agendas were companies can meet with key contacts with potential suppliers, local education representatives and other organisms that could be of interest.
• Government interface.
• Business seminars were experts in legal, accounting, import/export, shelter and from others topics of interest, interact with the interested company.
