About Monmouth County Clerk's Office

The Monmouth County Clerk's Office is a Constitutional Office of the County of Monmouth, New Jersey. The office currently has four locations and is comprised of five divisions: Recording, Elections, Archives and Records Center, Passports, and the Office of Records Management.

In addition to the public services that fall under the five divisions, the Clerk's Office issues County Identification Cards, Veterans’ Cards, and Veterans’ Peddler Licenses, and also, registers trade names, swears in Notaries Public, and performs wedding ceremonies.
