The first hygienic siphons were tested at the university hospital in Tübingen and in a long-term study at “Oberlausitz-Klinikum Bischofswerda” with the result of a decrease in nosocomial infections. In 2012 MoveoMed GmbH took over the hygienic siphon which is since then marketed under the brand name “MoveoSiphon ST24” and continuously developed.
