Aeropod is an award-winning agri-climate-tech startup on a mission to regenerate humanity’s most important resource: soil. Founded by innovation design engineers from Imperial College London, we are tackling the urgent challenge of global soil degradation caused by chemically and physically intensive agriculture — which together with current climate change disrupting agriculture, threatens 95% of global food production. Our innovation is Aeropod: a patent-pending, biodegradable, nature-triggered capsule planted like a seed. It autonomously aerates soil, breaking through compaction and biodegrading to enrich microbial life, reducing fertiliser dependency. Quite literally groundbreaking. The autonomous bio-aeration improves yields and long term soil health while progressively cutting costs - chemicals/inputs, labour, diesel, machinery - finally helping farmers viably transition to regenerative farming. It’s a no-brainer. Since 2024, we’ve won multiple awards, including Imperial’s WE Innovate, Core77’s Sustainability Design Award, Prototypes for Humanity, UK Startup of the Year, Seoul Design Award and represented Europe at Expo 2025 in Japan. With farmers already on our waitlist, we’re currently scaling our evidence, securing partnerships, and production pathways to forever transform agriculture — making the future of farming climate resilient and regenerative.
