KATOTO

Katoto Studio was founded by Richard MUSINGUZI in 2015 to create bold African cartoons with the aim of marketing African cultural values to the world. Cartoon after cartoon, the studio developed its own unique craft and trained several animators, gaining trust from reputable brands e.g. UNICEF, UWEC, Ministry of Health etc. KATOTO, its popular cartoon series, has been dubbed Africa's response to Mickey Mouse by the BBC. Katoto studios portfolio extends to over 50 animated commercials, 5 children's books distributed across Africa, and internationally the studio provided animation on the popular "Caillou Goes Skiing. Recently the studio completed four short films inspired by Ugandan folktales. Currently implementing the East Africa Animation bootcamp in collaboration with Gobelins Paris, with support from the French embassy in Uganda
