About Muyuna Amazon Lodge
Muyuna Amazon Lodge is an Eco-lodge located in the heart of the Peruvian Amazonian Rainforest. We are 140 kilometers upriver from Iquitos, within the Tamshiyacu-Tahuayo Reserve and near the Pacaya-Samiria National Reserve. Our remote location allows us to guarantee the observation of animals in their natural habitat.
One of our main activities focuses on offering the best customer experience possible. This way of working extends from where Muyuna is located, to the nearest towns and to our offices in Iquitos and in Lima.
In addition to allowing travellers know the rainforest and its hidden treasures, we want to raise awareness in our travelers and our workforce. Before 1999, the local villager used to hunt endangered animals and threatened to maintain this natural balance. Now, he is an excellent guide, with broad range skills, sharing his previous experience and preserving himself, better than anyone, his own land.
