About NABJ-Raleigh Durham
NABJ-Raleigh Durham, aka NABJ-RDU, is a nonprofit organization of reporters, editors, photographers, producers, educators, journalism students, publicists, truth-tellers, media professionals, and allies on all platforms – broadcasting, digital, and print. Founded in 1991 as the Triangle Association of Black Communicators, NABJ-RDU strives to increase Black representation in media and leadership, mentor Black journalists and media professionals, monitor racial messages in media, and combat racism in the industry.
