About Native Pathways (WIOA) Program

Native Pathways is an Employment & Training Program funded by the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) through the U.S. Department of Labor. We are responsible for allocating and distributing this funding to economically disadvantaged, unemployed, or underemployed Native American, Native Alaskan, and Native Hawaiian individuals residing in the western region of Texas for training and educational purposes.

Native Pathways services include, but are not limited to:
- Academic & career advising
- Job placement assistance
- Free online skills training (ed2go)
- 480 hours paid work experience internships
- Up to $10,000 in technical or vocational tuition assistance
- Transportation assistance, plus many more supportive services!

An individual is eligible if the following criterion is met:
- Any individual who is a member of a US Federally Recognized Tribe
- Must reside within Service Area (1 of 122 West TX counties)
- Must be Unemployed (actively seeking employment), Underemployed (earning a wage below your skillset or working part-time but desires fill-time employment), Low-Income, or Seeking Training Assistance

Native Pathways aims to connect employers with qualified, active job seekers that will meet their workforce needs in exchange for providing participants with quality on the job training. Native Pathways also offers employers Subsidized Employment that covers the participant's:
- Wages
- Taxes
- Workers' Compensation
