North London Collegiate School International

Founded in 1850 by Frances Mary Buss to offer an academically ambitious education to girls, NLCS (UK) is one the world’s leading schools. NLCS (UK) has pioneered women’s education for over 160 years and remains among the highest achieving schools in the UK.

NLCS (UK) launched its first international school in 2011.

NLCS set-up North London Collegiate School International Limited (NLCS International) to coordinate its international schools and has been granted the exclusive right by NLCS (UK) to license the ‘North London Collegiate School’ name and know-how for new schools to be set-up abroad.

Unlike many UK independent schools, NLCS has a firm commitment to ensuring close links with its overseas ‘branch’ schools. Every effort is made to replicate the ethos and standards of NLCS (UK) overseas. Wherever possible, staff for overseas schools are interviewed in London and always by NLCS (UK) staff, as well as staff from our overseas schools.

NLCS International’s role is to establish new international schools and to provide ongoing support to each overseas school's Senior Leadership Team.
