About NOA Urban Professional Development School of Amsterdam

The NOA is a partnership between thirty schools Calandlyceum, Lumion, De Toekomst, IVKO, Metis Montessori Lyceum, KIEMM, Kairos, Geert Groote College, Montessori Lyceum Terra Nova, Adriaan Roland Holstschool, Rudolf Steiner College, Orion-schools and seven teacher training colleges and universities (University of Amsterdam, VU University of Amsterdam, Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences (faculties of Education en Sport), Inholland University of Applied Sciences, Amsterdam University of The Arts / Breitner Academy, University of Applied Sciences Utrecht.

The mission of NOA is to present student teachers a unique learning environment where they can develop a positive, inquisitive attitude towards teaching in the urban setting and attain the skills and competencies relevant to modern day teaching in concept schools.
