About Nosreme Baltimore, Inc
Nosreme Baltimore is a grassroots nonprofit building a new future for artists and communities through access to art, affordable housing, and international cultural exchange.
Founded in 2022 and Baltimore-rooted, we activate underinvested spaces with artist-led murals, pop-up events, community paint days, and food-forward art programming. Our phased approach brings creative experiences directly to neighborhoods while building momentum toward a permanent artist residency hub by 2027.
Loosely inspired by the ideals of transcendentalism (Nosreme is “Emerson” spelled backward), we believe in creative self-reliance, collective healing, and the transformative power of art. Our vision includes international artist residencies grounded in Baltimore’s rich cultural fabric and global sister city relationships.
We’re led by artists, powered by community, and driven by equity.
