About NUS Office of Finance

The NUS Office of Finance plays a pivotal role in managing the University's financial resources. The unit is responsible for formulating, reviewing, and analysing the University's strategic, operating, capital, and all funds budgets, expenditure, and revenue policies. Additionally, we develop and maintain the supporting databases, systems, and models essential for effective resource planning.

We are committed to aligning the University's resource planning and allocation practices with the best standards of leading global institutions. In partnership with other departments, we continuously work to improve resource management and ensure the optimal allocation of funds. Our efforts support NUS in achieving excellence across education, research, intellectual thought leadership, enterprise, and public service.

Beyond resource planning, we provide comprehensive financial and accounting services across the University. As strategic partners, we aim to add value, enhance operational efficiency, and deliver high-quality service to students, faculty, staff, and external partners.

Our key responsibilities include connecting the University's strategic goals to its financial resources, controlling financial processes, ensuring accurate financial reporting, driving business partnering, overseeing treasury activities, developing financial systems, and managing shared financial services such as student billing, financial aid disbursement, payment processing, and payroll.
