About O4 (Formerly O4A)
We believe architecture is a responsibility to people, communities, and the future.
Founded in 2012 as O4A, O4 is an architecture practice shaping public and community-focused work across Canada. Our projects span civic, cultural, educational, residential, workplace, and adaptive reuse contexts, always grounded in the realities of people and place.
We approach architecture as a process of alignment, not imposition. Before form takes shape, we focus on understanding lives, stories, systems, and constraints. That work is our process, and it’s where responsibility lives.
Designing together is not a preference for us; it is a working condition. We collaborate closely with clients, communities, and disciplines to align goals, perspectives, and possibilities into clear, grounded outcomes.
O4 also operates as both architect and advisor, guiding organizations through complex decisions from early strategy through implementation.
Rooted in Canada and informed by broader perspectives, we design architecture that is built to endure. Not only physically, but socially and culturally.
