About Aqua Paints
Octagon Fibres and Chemicals or better known by one of its brands, Aqua, is a leading national paints and coatings company and a major producer of specialty chemicals.
Its origin can be traced back to one of the illustrious business pioneers of Bangladesh, Late Serajuddin Ahmed. He founded Elite Paints in 1952 and was responsible for setting up businesses in banking, construction, garments, insurance and many more. Based on differences in strategic direction, his eldest and youngest sons decided to launch the Aqua Paints brand in 2005.
The brand is one of few in Bangladesh where quality is never compromised. Raw materials are sourced from internationally recognized suppliers from Germany, Spain and Taiwan. Through backward linkage, it manufactures several of its own raw materials including acrylic and oil based resin, MTT and other chemical agents.
In addition to catering to the premium segment of the market, there is a value option, Rangila. This brand helps in providing quality paint for rural Bangladesh which represents more than 70% of the population.With headquarters in the commercial centre of Gulshan, and a state of the art manufacturing facility in Tongi, Aqua Paints is proud to employ approximately 150 people and contribute towards the local economy.
