About Olympic Refuge Foundation
The Olympic Refuge Foundation believes in a society where everyone belongs. Its mission is to shape a movement where young people affected by displacement thrive through sport. Its goal is for 1 million young people affected by displacement to access safe sport by 2024.
The Olympic Refuge Foundation (ORF) was established by the IOC to support refugees and populations affected by displacement through sport. The ORF functions in lieu of a traditional National Olympic Committee preparing the Refugee Olympic Team and manages the Refugee Athlete Support Programme as well as the IOC Refugee Olympic Team.
In addition, the ORF works across the globe in communities affected by displacement, using sport to improve mental health, foster inclusion and create a sense of belonging.
